The Florida Center for Nursing is the definitive source for information, research, and strategies addressing the dynamic nursing workforce needs in Florida.

FCN is a state workforce center established in section 464.0195, Florida Statutes, to address nursing workforce issues of:

  • Supply and demand
  • Recruitment and retention
  • Utilization of resources

Per 464.0195(2)(a), Florida Statutes, a primary goal for the center shall be to develop a strategic statewide plan for nursing in Florida.

 

Mission

The Florida Center for Nursing is established to research and address issues of supply and demand for nursing, including issues of recruitment, retention, and utilization of nurse workforce resources.

Vision

The health care needs of the residents and visitors of Florida are met by a competent and sufficient nursing workforce.
