Nursing Education Programs Survey
The Florida Center for Nursing will begin the data collection process for the Nursing Education Programs Survey on September 3, 2025. This process involves compiling information from nursing programs across Florida for the 2024–2025 academic year.
The collected data will inform efforts to ensure nursing programs are equipping future nurses to meet Florida’s growing healthcare demands.
In accordance with section 464.0195, Florida Statutes, nursing programs in the state are required to complete the survey.
Responses must be submitted no later than Monday, October 7, or nursing programs will incur a $1000 fine.
This survey aims to identify statewide and regional trends, not report the performance of any individual school. Only aggregated information will be reported, and responses will not be associated with each school.
How to Complete the Survey
The FCN will send a specific NCLEX code and login information to each nursing program in the State of Florida on September 3. This code and information will allow access to the FCN Nursing Education Program Survey.

Statutory Requirements
Section 464.019(10), Florida Statutes, requires the Florida Center for Nursing to study the implementation of the “Nurse Practice Act” (FS Chapter 464), as it relates to the approval of nursing education programs and the production of nursing program graduates in Florida nursing education programs.
The FCN is required to evaluate (a) characteristics of program-specific data for each approved program and accredited program conducted in the state; (b) the Board of Nursing’s implementation of approval and accountability processes; and (c) assessment of program-level compliance with accreditation requirements.
This data request corresponds with FCN’s data collection efforts to meet program-specific assessment requirements.
